Natori Crematory is located on the south of Yuriage fishing port. It was designed as an interface between the town and ocean.

A gentle slope, newly constituted, resembles an ancient tomb. Architecture and landscape were arranged carefully on site, taking views into consideration. The curving wall running alongside the edge of the pond, establishes a boundary. The path across the compound (light corridor) is composed of steel and glass, these materials together create a natural space of tension and relaxation. When the sun sets in Zao mountains the crematory is dyed orange. It symbolises the departure of the dead.
